The Philosophical Research Society (PRS) is a remarkable institution housed within a beautiful little building with Mayan-inspired architecture in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. Founded in 1934 by legendary esoteric scholar Manly P. Hall, the PRS is active to this day, housing Hall’s comprehensive rare book collection, offering online courses in esoteric topics, and publishing and selling Hall’s vast body of written work. Ash speaks with the President of PRS, Dr. Greg Salyer, about the institution’s history and guiding philosophies, as well as a general conversation about the path of the spiritual seeker outside of traditional religious institutions.
